Here are some more pictures!!!
Hello everyone!!! Here are some more pictures from my pre-ship training (Aug. 30- Sept. 9th) and then here are the pictures of what the ship looks like, etc....
Also, here are some things you can pray for me about:
1) I have not recieved my job yet on board. But, this upcoming Monday (Sept. 15th), I will get my job and I will start my job the day after on Tuesday(Sept. 16th). I could get placed in the cleaning department, the kitchen department, the pantry dept.(cleaning dishes), or the project work department (helping with the renovation process).... Those are the only three places I can work right now, because the book fair is not open yet. They are still renovating it..... But, please pray that no matter what job I get, that I will not see it as a tiring task, but that I'll look at it as a way to serve God, even in the little things.
2) While I have had many hight points these past few weeks, I have to admit that there have been many low points as well. I have already been faced with many challenges, but despite these discouraging times, I have been reminded every day that God's power and strength can overcome my weaknesses and give me freedom instead... Pray that I won't get discouraged, but that I will take hold of God's promises every second of the day. Pray also for all of the believers on the ship who are facing many struggles too..
Thank you so much!!! I love you all!!!

(first picture) For my pre-ship training, my team stayed at a huge gym. I guess the people from OM had been looking everywhere for a cheap place for my team to stay. However, every hostel they looked at was way too expensive.... Then, one day, a man from Denmark heard that they were looking for a place to house 75 people and he said that we could stay in this gym for free as long as we payed for our meals... Isn't it neat how God provides!!!! (the second picture) In the bottom of the gym, there were two big rooms where us girls stayed.. We slept on matresses that were placed side by side on the floor. I got to sleep right next to a door that was open a lot of the time and where I'm sure a bunch of spiders got in. Many of you know that I hate spiders...But, I have to say that God was really good to me, because I never saw one spider in my bed, and I never got one spider bite..... (third picture)..This is what many of us felt like the day that we left for the ship.
(first picture) This is my first view of the ship!!! As you can see in the second picture, there were tons of people standing on each deck waving their flags!! The third picture is what my room looks like.. I love it!!! There is a lot more space than I thought... Also, I love my roomates too!! They are so sweet... My roomate in this picture is named, "Kathryn" and she is from South Africa!!! My other roomate is "Naomi" from Japan!!!
(first picture) Here are a bunch of girls from my pre-ship training group... For those who are curious to see my roomates again, Kathryn is in the red shirt and Naomi is in the front middle..... (second picture) You have to look at this picture from the side, but it is the town of Koge, Denmark... It is such a cute town!!! It has cobblestone streets and a bunch of unique little shops! ( third picture) This is what the typical house looks like in one of the towns near Koge...
(first and second picture). It's a long story, but basically, I couldn't participate in the safety training classes that my team did on the ship, because our group was simply too large... They could only train 50 people and my group had 75 in it...So, I was one of the people that they chose to take out of those training classes, which was perfectly fine with me...So, because I couldn't take the training class, I got to help out around the ship for the first two days. I worked with 5 other girls, and we were given the task of cleaning out two rooms that were filled to the brim with costumes, boxes, sports equipment, etc... The first picture is what the room looked like before we started and the second picture is what the room looked like when we were finished... It was so neat to see the rooms transformed... As you can see in the last two pictures, we had a lot of fun sorting through the costumes...
